Former gifted students in Maths of 1984-1987 course
In October 1966, according to the Decision of Former Prime Minister Pham Van Dong, the first Math specializing class was composed of 36 students (precursor of Vinh University High School for Gifted-Students today) that was officially opened at Thach Binh Commune – Thach Thanh District, Thanh Hoa Province. Through many stages of maturity, in November 2009, Vinh University High School for Gifted-Students was established directly under the management of Vinh University.
Recently, the school has forty classrooms, two computer labs, three laboratories (Physic al, Chemistry and Biology), two Listening – Speaking English rooms and two large classrooms with modern teaching equipment. In addition, scale of training is expanding. From one Math specializing class, by 2016, the school has six specializing classes: Mathematics, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology.
After 50 years of building and development, all staffs and teachers of Vinh University High School for Gifted-Students have made great contributions to the cause of education and scientific research.
As a place to nurture and develop the talents of many northern provinces, Vinh University High School for Gifted-Students is constantly striving to grow and have achieved many great results and it is worth the trust of the society, parents of students. Many researches have been published in reputable scientific journals domestically and internationally. Many teachers also participate in writing textbooks, reference textbooks to foster excellent students. Presently, the school has 68 staffs including eight PhDs, four PhD students and the rest are almost master.
